Apple today released the dates for WWDC 2009: June 8-12. That’s only two and a half months from now. As several others in the Mac and iPhone dev communities have already noted (see Aaron Hillegass just 2 days ago), announcing an event like this with only two and a half months notice is very frustrating for many people.
Hopefully the fact that the date hasn’t slipped past June means that both OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and the iPhone OS 3.0 are on target for release at WWDC 2009, and that Steve Jobs is doing well enough to make an appearance.
Now that the dates are locked in, I can finally commit to my planned trip with Catherine to Europe in August/September. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make it to WWDC yet, but if I do, I hope to see you there!
